Grace joined Nicholls & Nicholls in early 2026 gaining an insight into defence
litigation including regulatory work. Due to her engagement with the team and
passion for the work undertaken by the firm, she has accepted a role as an SQE
trainee solicitor.
Originally from Wales, she gained experience on a one-year contract in the Cardiff
office of the Crown Prosecution Service, where she worked as a casework assistant
within their Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) team. Working within a
specialist team dealing with complex and highly sensitive cases, she gained valuable
experience in the preparation and progression of serious criminal prosecutions. This
provided her with an insight into the criminal justice system from a prosecutorial
perspective and a strong foundation for her subsequent work representing clients at
Nicholls & Nicholls.
Grace obtained her degree in history and politics at university, developing a
particular interest in the relationship between politics, history and the law, and in how
wider social and political developments have shaped the legal system. Her
fascination has led to a tenacious work ethic, and a strong commitment to ensuring
fairness within the criminal justice system and protecting the rights of those she
represents.
During her studies with the firm, Grace will gain valuable experience across a broad
range of areas, including general criminal litigation, appeals, POCA, and our ever-
growing regulatory department. This breadth of experience will provide her with an
excellent foundation as she develops her skills and progresses in her legal career.
