Domingas joined Nicholls & Nicholls in 2024 as a paralegal and immediately began working on a high value complex fraud case under the supervision of a strong team. She quickly and expeditiously recognised the issues regarding allegations of tax evasion, international money laundering and fraudulent accounting. As part of the legal team, and after several months of trial, the court directed that not guilty verdicts be passed on all the allegations being made against our client. This was a great result for her first big case and indicative of her future mentality towards cases.
Her methodical and passionate approach to the voluminous case she worked on, demonstrated her resilience, confidence, and dedication. She recognised the pressures involved in considering hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence. She was able to strategically find issues within the prosecution evidence and present it to the legal team for further investigation. As a result, she was offered the opportunity to progress her career with Nicholls & Nicholls and is excited to move forward with her solicitor training.
Domingas not only speaks English, Creole, Spanish, Madjaku, and Portuguese, but has also excelled academically, achieving the highest grades at her A-levels and a 2:1 in LLB Law from the University of Exeter, a prestigious Russell Group university.
During her degree studies, Domingas volunteered to assist students from her school to support those struggling to obtain the grades required to progress in their education. Here she learned patience and adapting to each student based on their needs; a skill she now frequently uses when liaising with clients.
